I must be further out of the loop than I thought. My first notice that the present time will wrap up at 7 p.m. this evening didn’t get to me until yesterday. A co-worker asked me whether I thought that the Rapture was going to happen on Saturday. My response: “It’s going to happen some day, might as well be tomorrow.”

Whether this is the day or not, there is one thing for certain; it is always a good idea to ponder the idea that this present life is a temporary affair. I’m always amazed when I hear young folks complain about being bored. How can that happen? We are on a ride through life that is daily better than anything Walt Disney ever thought of. We are spinning through space on a giant chunk of rock, and God only knows what will happen next.
This day–and every day–is one to love and accept love; to give favor and to accept favor; to rejoice and be glad. Today… I’m going to do my best to remember that and not get caught up in the rush, the fear, the scramble. After all, it is Saturday… the Sabbath… Shabbat Shalom to all.
