Success doesn’t come to you; you go to it.
(Quote attributed to Marva Collins)
Do you want to know how to save $1,000 dollars?
Put aside $10 each day for 100 days.
Do you want to know how to lose 50 pounds?
Drop 2 pounds each week for 25 weeks.
It’s simple.
Anyone can do it.
Anyone who wants to badly enough.
Where success comes from
I’m not trying to be trite here, or to give a hand wave to the reality of generational poverty or third-world challenges.
By personal experience, though, I can tell you it’s possible to accomplish YOUR dream, and the path is not all that complicated.
My take on “If you can believe it, you can achieve it” puts the emphasis on “you.”
If YOU can believe it, YOU can achieve it.
There are no impossible dreams — not for the individual given that dream. I may not be able to tackle YOUR dream, but I’m equipped to handle mine.
The main thing to do
Our problem is not one of knowing what to do, but of doing what we know.
That’s what hangs us up.
This Roadturn Principle, “Do what you need to do, if you would get where you want to go,” is a flashing neon light on the way to reaching your goals.
It leads to another one: “Success lies in the daily effort to move one step forward.”
You may not FEEL like you’re gaining ground. You may not SEE the results you want right now.
But, if you’ll keep doing it, day after day after day, you WILL be successful, and the effort will feel absolutely worth it.
Challenge: The next time you ‘don’t feel like’ doing what you KNOW you should do… do it anyway. Then watch how good THAT feels!
Let’s talk about it.
