Will Rabbi Kaduri’s Prophecy About Messiah and Ariel Sharon Come True?

By Don on January 2, 2014 23

WHEN RABBI YITZCHAK KADURI DIED, hundreds of thousands of mourners filled the streets of Jerusalem. The Rabbi was a venerated teacher, his wisdom and blessings were deemed straight from the Almighty.

Kaduri’s passing, though, brought about a huge controversy. The Rabbi left us with two prophetic promises about the Messiah — outlandish promises to some and “I told you so” reactions from others.

Rabbi Kaduri’s prediction about Messiah and Ariel Sharon

Apparently, Rabbi Kaduri left a note wherein he identifies the Messiah’s name as Yehoshua (i.e. Yeshua or Jesus) and predicts the Messiah’s coming will occur soon after Ariel Sharon dies.

Ariel Sharon fell sick the very month Kaduri left this world. He was soon comatose, and has remained in that condition since. Reports are he will sometimes open his eyes and make a hand motion, but Sharon’s condition has remained relatively unchanged for over seven years.

Now, that has apparently changed. If Sharon dies, will Kaduri’s prophecy come true?

An earlier article about Kaduri has generated considerable discussion. It is interesting to see the flow of emotions in the comments there. Some deny the entire idea. Some press a particular brand of belief as the only correct version. Some just praise the Lord and look forward to His coming. And some denounce Rabbi Kaduri’s prophetic note as a tool of the devil.

Don’t you just love it when believers get together and chat?

For what it’s worth, here’s my own take on the brouhaha forming:

1. Rabbi Kaduri devoted his life to studying Scripture, prayer, and seeking wisdom. That the Creator would speak to him and reveal information about the Messiah is an entirely believable scenario. Personally, I have no trouble accepting the idea.

2. That Messiah will come (again) after the death of Ariel Sharon … well, if He doesn’t come before Sharon passes, He will certainly come after.

3. Will He come SOON after? I can’t tell you about that. Scripture says only the Father knows for sure when that time will be.

COULD, however, Rabbi Kaduri’s prophecy and the news of Ariel Sharon’s, perhaps imminent, death be a wake-up call for humanity? Take a look around you, folks … we are on a giant chunk of rock, spinning at an incredible speed, whirling in every direction through uncharted space.

Anything, absolutely anything, could happen next.

Come, Lord, come quickly … even now.

Rabbi Kaduri, Ariel Sharon and Jesus (Yeshua)

By Don on January 28, 2013 282

In the “very interesting” category comes this prophecy by the famous Jewish Rabbi, Yitzchak Kaduri.

It is said that the Lubavitcher Rebbe predicted that Rabbi Kaduri would bear witness to the coming of the Messiah. That got my attention, because quotes from the Lubavitcher Rebbe (Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson) comprise one of my favorite books, Bringing Heaven Down to Earth: 365 Meditations of the Rebbe.

During his final years on Earth, Rabbi Kaduri’s thoughts were centered on the coming of the One who would redeem Israel. The Rabbi passed on in January of 2006.

Rabbi Kaduri’s Prophecy

Photo of Rabbi KaduriBefore his death, though, he wrote down two hints about the Messiah (Mashiach). First, that Messiah would appear after the death of Ariel Sharon. Next, that the Messiah’s name is Yehoshua, Yeshua, Yahusha … you got it, the one that most English speaking moderns call Jesus.

Very interesting … AND 2006 is the same year Ariel Sharon was declared to be incapacitated: serious medical problems began in January, the very month Rabbi Kaduri died.

News Flash, January 28, 2013: An MRI brain scan has shown “significant brain activity” in Ariel Sharon. His medical crisis has now lasted for seven years. Is his condition about ready to change?

News Flash, January 1, 2014: Reports now say, Ariel Sharon is suffering kidney damage, and his condition has worsened.

News Flash, January 11, 2014: Ariel Sharon has passed from this world.

Could Rabbi Kaduri’s Prophecy be True?

Yes, there is big controversy over this–many claiming that it is all an invention of Christians, and others saying it is a sign that the end of the world as we know it is imminent.

Any way you cut it… the entire situation is both strange and interesting. I need to research more, before I can comment, but didn’t want to hold back on sharing the video below. By the way, I know nothing about the folks who are behind this film, but I do appreciate their making it available.

I’ll close with a snippet of this followup, from the Israel Today website…

Israel Today was given access to many of the rabbi’s manuscripts, written in his own hand for the exclusive use of his students. Most striking were the cross-like symbols painted by Kaduri all over the pages. In the Jewish tradition, one does not use crosses. In fact, even the use of a plus sign is discouraged because it might be mistaken for a cross.

But there they were, scribbled in the rabbi’s own hand. When we asked what those symbols meant, Rabbi David Kaduri said they were “signs of the angel.” Pressed further about the meaning of the “signs of the angel,” he said he had no idea. Rabbi David Kaduri went on to explain that only his father had had a spiritual relationship with God and had met the Messiah in his dreams …

The Morning’s Reading

By Don on July 9, 2012 2

Display of Jesus on the Cross

An observation in the Psalms. What do you think?

Reading in the Psalms (Tehillim) this morning, it occurred to me that Psalm 22 (My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?), Psalm 23 (The LORD is my shepherd;I shall not want) to the end of Psalm 24 (Who is this King of glory?) may be read together as a string leading from the crucifixion to the glorification of Yeshua (Jesus).

Okay, I know the entire story points to Him, but try reading those three Psalms as a structure and you will see what I mean.

By the way, have you read Psalm 25 lately? Immediately after the power of the Messianic message in Psalms 22-24, comes an appropriate response:

To You, O LORD, I lift up my soul. O my God, I trust in You; Let me not be ashamed; Let not my enemies triumph over me.
Indeed, let no one who waits on You be ashamed; Let those be ashamed who deal treacherously without cause.
Show me Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me,
For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day.
Remember, O LORD, Your tender mercies and Your lovingkindnesses, For they are from of old.

Do not remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; According to Your mercy remember me,
For Your goodness’ sake, O LORD. Good and upright is the LORD; Therefore He teaches sinners in the way.
The humble He guides in justice, And the humble He teaches His way.
All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth, To such as keep His covenant and His testimonies.

For Your name’s sake, O LORD, Pardon my iniquity, for it is great. Who is the man that fears the LORD?
Him shall He teach in the way He chooses. He himself shall dwell in prosperity,
And his descendants shall inherit the earth. The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him,
And He will show them His covenant. My eyes are ever toward the LORD, For He shall pluck my feet out of the net … (NKJV)

The remainder of Psalm 25 takes on more of a Messianic tone again. But, I’m wondering, is that because we enter in to His sufferings when we pick up our own crosses and follow Him?

Anyway … just thinking …

Shalom!
