A month down the road on this reboot. Friday evening headed my way again, and I took some time off.
Spaghetti and meatballs, chicken and rice, zucchini bread, and pumpkin pie. I’m over the legal limit.
Should I give up and head for McDonald’s?
Nope. Never give up. Despite this evening’s overindulgence, the scale will tell Sunday morning whether or not I can still reach my next benchmark. That comes up in 5 days.
Meanwhile, there’s always the next right thing…
Reboot Logbook Day #30
The numbers aren’t too good today, but they could be a whole lot worse.
Body – 2: I followed my diet plan until late afternoon, then decided the Sabbath was a good day to take a break. Too much zucchini bread (sugar and flour). Looks great. Smells great. Then turns on you. Live and learn. Some exercise and fresh air, but not much.
Mind – 2: A little mind-stretching, but not much. A fairly tame day. I’ve maintained fairly well, but had to pull myself back from off-base thinking here and there.
Spirit – 2: I began with The DEEP this morning, but not much contact thereafter.
Hey, tomorrow is another day (Lord willing). All is not lost. Used rightly, our biggest trials can yield our biggest gains.
