World’s Got Talent…Now?

I don’t know about this. Certainly, we have heard before that Simon Cowell’s ambitions have gone global and he is pushing for a World’s Got Talent show. According to an eNews media release, however, Simon is waiting long–the show is scheduled for July 1st of this year.
Reading between the lines, it could be that this is real and will be just a trial baloon to see how such a show would go over. It could be a farce. Regardless, we’ll keep looking for confirmation and elaboration. Here’s the release in full, from the eNews site:
